Protect yourself and others before trading

As always trading is welcome on our forums and servers however I want everyone to make sure that they are practicing safe-trade...

Ok jokes aside if you are trading with someone you don't know or you are just curious, make sure to do a quick search over at SteamRep, which is part of OFPF. Checking potential traders will not only protect you from known scammers, but also ensure that your account and your friends accounts will remain safe.

Here is one example of someone using this free service to avoid being scammed.

Figured I would add that it's probably for the best to be wary of people who offer trading whose Steam profile is blank (no profile picture, description, friends, little to no hours on games, OR a private profile)
Similar to how hackers use throwaway accounts, trade scammers have been known to try and do the same.
